The Whipped Cross

An inswinging cross is whipped in from the opposition's right, dropping into your six-yard box between you and your defenders and clearly within your reach. There is a tall striker attacking the near-post area and a crowd of players around the penalty spot. You are set on the middle of your goal line. If you come and miss it, the goal is open; if you stay, the striker may get a free header.
